<p>The method provides routing information to route a message to a destination mobile entity having an associated base or home network and able to roam to a foreign network. The method comprises: <SL> <LI>(i) receiving a request for routing information at a component in the base or home network; <LI>(ii) determining whether the destination mobile entity is roaming to a foreign network; <LI>(iii) if the destination mobile entity is roaming to a foreign network, providing routing information in response to the request for routing the message to a component in the base or home network. </SL> The method also allows value-added services available in the base or home network to be provided in the foreign network: and the method allows for either a billing or charging function or a value-added function to be carried out on a message and then forwarding the message to the roaming entity.</p> |
