PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing time shortening method for making first and second hard disks simultaneously perform reading and writing operations under different instructions. SOLUTION: A read instruction is given through a controller to a first hard disk, and a write instruction is given to a second hard disk when the first hard disk is read, and after those instructions are received through the controller by the first and second hard disks, a standby status for the completion of preparation for reading by the first hard disk and the completion of preparation for writing by the second hard disk is set, and after preparation for reading and writing by both the first and second hard disks is completed, an instruction to transmit the data to the second hard disk is given to the first hard disk, and an instruction to receive the data of the first hard disk, and to write the data in the second hard disk is given to the second hard disk through the controller.
