A method for manufacturing pore-controlled foam metal is provided to control the pores in foam metal easily and to form pores exposed to the air on the foam metal surface smoothly. A method for manufacturing pore-controlled foam metal comprises a dissolution step(S1) for dissolving metal to be foamed, a thickening agent input step(S2,S3) for making the melt to the set viscosity by mixing thickening agent in the melt, a melt division step(S4) for dividing the melt mixed with the thickening agent by using metal insert having a plurality of jet holes for gas supply, and a foaming step(S5) for foaming the divided melt by injecting gas or foam through the jet holes of the metal insert. |
