<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonvolatile memory device and a nonvolatile memory system for more lengthening a life and for more quickening a processing speed than a conventional manner even in operating disk image copy. <P>SOLUTION: In disk image copy, whether or not transfer data transferred from an access device have been already erased is decided by each logical block unit (LBN), and when it is decided that the transfer data have been erased, the block status of the physical block is set to an invalid block (value 1), and managed as an empty space. As a result, even when the rewriting processing of specific LBN (for example, LBN0) is frequently generated after disk image copy, an empty block can be used as an alternate block for rewriting, so that it is possible to average the frequency of rewriting in comparison with the case of using only a spare block as the alternate block for rewriting in a conventional manner.
