PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To back up a video file from a dashboard camera without taking a memory card out of the dashboard camera.SOLUTION: A file backup method for a motorcycle dashboard camera is executed by a controller 15. The controller is connected to an internal storage device 12 and a connection port 13 of the motorcycle dashboard camera. The internal storage device is suitable for storing a video file. This method includes: executing a video recording function for storing the video file in the internal storage device; determining whether or not a connection port is connected to a portable storage device 16; and automatically backing up the video file from the internal storage device to the portable storage device when the connection port is connected to the portable storage device. Thus, it is possible to solve the inconvenience of the file backup. |
