PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new drying and carbonization system (multi-heating system) that achieves both drying and carbonization while saving energy.SOLUTION: A drying and carbonization system 1 comprises a dryer 2 to preliminarily dry a material W to be processed, a carbonization apparatus 3 to carbonize the preliminarily dried material W to be processed, a heat recovery apparatus 4 to recover heat from a carbonization exhaust gas CG discharged from the carbonization apparatus 3 so as to reuse the recovered heat as a heat source for the dryer 2, and an incinerator 5 that can incinerate part of the preliminarily dried material W to be processed. The heat recovery apparatus 4 is supplied with both the carbonization exhaust gas CG from the carbonization apparatus 3 and an incineration exhaust gas BG from the incinerator 5. Part of the incineration exhaust gas BG discharged from the incinerator 5 is sent to a carbonization furnace 31 of the carbonization apparatus 3. |
