D-SUCCINYLASE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING D-AMINO ACID USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel D-succinylase which has high hydrolytic activity on N-succinyl-D-amino acid and is capable of producing D-amino acid with high yield on an industrial scale and in a period of time suitable for commercial production when combined with succinyl amino acid racemase.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a protein which is represented by any one of the following (a) to (d): (a) a protein that is encoded by a gene consisting of a specific base sequence; (b) a protein consisting of a specific amino acid sequence; (c) a protein encoded by a gene consisting of a base sequence having 90% or more of identity with the specific base sequence, and has D-succinylase activity; and (d) a protein consisting of an amino acid sequence produced by substituting, deleting, inserting and/or adding one or several amino acids in the protein consisting of the specific amino acid sequence, and has D-succinylase activity.
