PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a terminal station to receive high-efficient and low correlation MIMO transmission even when a base station performs MIMO transmission using many antennas.SOLUTION: A relay device 200 having a plurality of antennas receives a radio signal transmitted in the MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) system from a base station, and relays the received radio signal to a terminal station. The relay device includes: signal conversion units 203, 204, 205 for converting the radio signal received in the MIMO system to a signal for use in a relay transmission system which is different from the MIMO system; and transmission units 206, 207, 208 for transmitting the converted signal to the terminal station in the relay transmission system. |
