PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lithium titanate nanoparticles in which oxygen defects are generated in lithium titanate by means of the reducing action of carbon, and nitrogen is doped in the oxygen defect sites, and to provide a composite of the lithium titanate nanoparticles and carbon, and to provide a method for producing the composite.SOLUTION: A mixed solvent is prepared by dissolving acetic acid and lithium acetate in a mixture of isopropanol and water. The mixed solvent is injected into a whirling reactor along with titanium alkoxide and carbon nanofibers (CNF), and an inner tube is gyrated for 5 minutes at a centrifugal force of 66,000 N(kgms) in order to form a thin film of a reactant on the inner wall of an outer tube. Subsequently, the chemical reaction of the reactant is speeded up by applying sheer stress and centrifugal force thereto, thereby obtaining CNFs on which the precursor of lithium titanate nanoparticles is supported in a highly dispersed manner. The obtained composite powder is heated for 3 minutes at 900°C in a nitrogen atmosphere, thereby obtaining a composite powder in which lithium titanate nanoparticles, the lithium titanate of which has advanced crystallization, are supported by the CNFs in a highly dispersed manner. |
