PURPOSE: A current consumption quantity display method relatively displays a current consumption according to an operation state of a mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: The current consumption quantity display method checks artificial idle state if the power is on, displays a current consumption quantity by moving a first group movement having a predetermined icon numbers under the artificial idle state, checks a slip state if the idle state is not provided. If the slip state is determined, the method displays a current consumption quantity by moving a second group, IF the slip state is not determined, the method checks a slot cycle idle state. If the slot cycle idle state is determined, the method displays a current consumption quantity by moving a third group. If the slot cycle idle state is not made, the method checks a busy line state. If the busy line state is determined, the method detects a field strength of a received signal, and determines whether the received field strength is over a reference field strength or not. If the field strength is beyond the reference field strength, the method displays a current consumption quantity of a strong field by moving the fourth group. If the field strength is lower than the reference field strength, the method displays the current consumption quantity of weak field by moving a fifth group.
