<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output unit, an output processing system and a portable terminal in which a user can specify output parameters from the portable terminal when data is transmitted directly from the portable terminal to the output unit and output processing is performed based on that data. <P>SOLUTION: A number, and the like, for specifying a print layout are input beforehand to a memorandum column (NOTE area) which can be described by the telephone directory capability of a portable telephone and its vCard data is transmitted to a printer. vCard data received by the printer is assigned by an extension and the number of pieces of personal information contained therein (S200, S210). In case of single piece data, text of that memorandum column (NOTE) is analyzed (interpret) and a layout specified by a user is specified (S240).
