<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid operated valve device improved in responsiveness particularly in a valve opening time without causing an increase in the number of parts and structural complication. <P>SOLUTION: A common rail 20 is provided with a pressure control valve 60 for discharging fuel stored inside to a fuel tank 42. An ECU 50 supplies a preliminary current to a coil of the pressure control valve 60 to the extent of not driving the pressure control valve 60 prior to main energization. After a magnetic field is formed by preliminary current supply, the preliminary current supply is stopped. A counter electromotive force is thereby generated to a solenoid driving part of the pressure control valve 60 by residual magnetism. The direction of the current by the counter electromotive force is the same as that in the main energization time. The ECU 50 carries out main energization to the pressure control valve 60 while the counter electromotive force is generated. A current for driving a valve member thereby rises rapidly at the solenoid driving part of the pressure control valve 60 to improve responsiveness when opening the valve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
