The engine has a process chamber (4) including combustion chambers that are separated from each other, and piston shafts (2) projecting from the process chamber. A counter weight is provided outside of the process chamber at the shafts. A pivoting piston (8) includes a contact surface (10), which is formed based on an inner wall of the process chamber, where a groove (12) is provided in the surface. A piston partial ring (16) with an inner wall (6) of the process chamber is located in the groove in a sealed manner, where lubricant in an area of the surface is brought around the ring.
