PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact general-purpose light source device with a simple device configuration, and a projector.SOLUTION: A light source device includes: a substrate 41 which is rotated around a predetermined rotation axis 48; first and second phosphor layers 45R and 45G arranged on a first principal surface of the substrate 41; and a light source which emits excitation light for exciting the first phosphor layer 45R and excitation light for exciting the second phosphor layer 45G. The first phosphor layer 45R is arranged in a first annular region AR1 around the rotation axis 48 of the substrate 41. The second phosphor layer 45G is arranged in a second annular region AR2 outside the first annular region AR1. The light source device emits first fluorescence emitted from the first phosphor layer 45R and second fluorescence emitted from the second phosphor layer 45G. |
