PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glazing unit with an excellent vibroacoustic damping property that comprises a vibroacoustic damping device, and a process for reducing acoustic and vibration disturbance of a moving passenger compartment of a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle.SOLUTION: Provided is a glazing unit 1 with an improved vibroacoustic damping behavior including at least one glass plate 10 and at least one vibroacoustic damping section 2 that is attached to at least one face of the glass plate and includes at least one garment 20 made of a damping material having a loss factor greater than 0.2. The section 2 is not joined to any other device on the opposite side of the glass plate and the garment made of the damping material has a Young's modulus greater than 800 MPa, at 20°C, for a particular frequency corresponding to a critical frequency of the glazing unit within ±30%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
