The electrically conducting and antistatic permanent finish of the present invention is characterized in that the textile material is modified by oxidative polymerization of at least one doped conductive polymer. First, the modified textile fibers are treated by binding thereon by means of a covalent bond s doped carrier, formed by an aromatic substance, which has bound in arbitrary section of its structure arbitrary amount of sulfo or carboxylic groups and which has bound in arbitrary section of its structure at least one reactive group or a precursor thereof for formation of a covalent bond with the modified textile fibers. Subsequently, the oxidative polymerization of the modified textile fiber is carried out with 3,4-alkylenedioxothiophene of the general formula 1, wherein A represents -(CHi2)in- whereby n is in the range of 1 to 3, R denotes H or an alkyl group having 1 to 15 carbon atoms or n-hydroxyalkyl containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, during which the sulfo or carboxylic groups dope poly-3,4-alkylenedioxothiophene to yield a conductive polymer based on poly-3,4-alkylenedioxothiophene fixed to the modified textile fibers. The invention also relates to a textile material finished in such a manner. |
