A beverage preparation apparatus (10) for preparing a beverage such as coffee having a liquid supply source (1 1 ). A pumping station (12) may be provided for supplying the liquid from the liquid supply under a predetermined pressure force into a beverage preparation chamber (14) of the beverage apparatus (10). A faucet (17) may be provided in fluid communication with the beverage preparation chamber (14) and arranged for directing the beverage from the beverage preparation chamber (14) to a receptacle (19) positioned on a holder (18) of the beverage preparation apparatus (10), which is positioned at a first distance (d1 ) from the faucet (17). The distance between the holder (18) and the faucet (17) is adjustable by means of an actuator (16) from the first distance (d1 ) to a beverage preparation distance (d2), which is operated by an electronic system (13). |
