Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for controlling a three-dimensional virtual space on a screen by recognizing a motion. The apparatus for controlling a three-dimensional virtual space of the present invention can rotate the virtual space by extracting an angle speed according to a motion by using a sensor, generating a rotation value proportional to the angle speed, and transmitting the rotation value to a computer or the like. If a relative rotation angle continuously increases or decreases according to a motion, the apparatus generates the rotation value by considering not only the angle speed but also a weighted value proportional to the relative rotation angle. Therefore, even when a motion for rotating the virtual space at a high speed is performed, the apparatus for controlling a three-dimensional virtual space does not escape too much from the rotation and also can quickly come back to the center of a screen. |
