A liquid crystal display panel (100) and a liquid crystal display. The liquid crystal display panel (100) comprises an upper glass substrate (30) and a lower glass substrate (50); the upper glass substrate comprises a plurality of color resistance units, each color resistance unit comprises a red color resistor (31), a green color resistor (32) and a blue color resistor (33) which are separated from each other, and the upper glass substrate (30) also comprises black matrices (34) arranged between every two adjacent color resistors; and the lower glass substrate (50) comprises filter film layers (51) which are arranged on the outer surface thereof, respectively correspond to the red color resistors (31), the green color resistors (32) and the blue color resistors (33) and have corresponding colors. The liquid crystal display panel (100) and the liquid crystal display are simple in structure and effectively increase the light utilization rate of a backlight source, thereby increasing the brightness of the liquid crystal display panel. |
