PURPOSE: A monitor control device is provided to simplify a monitor circuit using the on screen display and a signal to adjust a monitor. CONSTITUTION: The monitor control device comprises: a timing generator, a data decoder, and a monitor controller. In the monitor control device, the timing generator generates a data enable signal as a section of a monitor control signal from a vertical synchronous signal and a horizontal synchronous signal in a computer system. The data decoder extracts a monitor control data by the data enable signal and displaying the monitor control data. the monitor controller controls a power management and a brightness of a monitor and executes a location control of a monitor.
