<p>According to the present invention, a surface mount type chip antenna comprises a base made of a dielectric, magnetic substance or mixture thereof, at least one terminal portion provided on the mounted face of the base, a concave provided in the mounted face of the base except in the terminal portion, and at least one conductive wire wound around the base.
