PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly insert an iron sheet pile into the ground. SOLUTION: The iron sheet pile 10 is inserted into the ground according to guide of soldier beams 20 on both sides thereof, and formed of engaging portions 11 and a turning member 40. Each engaging portion 11 is attached to a predetermined location of the iron sheet pile 10, and engages with the tip of a lead pile 30 for inserting the iron sheet pile 10 in the inserting direction. The turning member 40 is arranged on the tip of the iron sheet pile 10 in the inserting direction; and when the iron sheet pile 10 is inserted into the ground, it protrudes from a plane inclusive of a plate surface 10a of the iron sheet pile 10; but when the iron sheet pile is drawn from the ground, it is located inside the plane containing the plate surface 10a of the iron sheet pile 10.
