The reinforcing cord consists of a low-modulus cord core (1) and a high-modulus winding (2) wound round it. The low-modulus cord core is composed of a nonferrous metal such as aluminum, or polyvinyl acetate, and the high-modulus winding round it is composed of a ferrous metal such as steel, or of a non-metallic substance such as aramid.
