PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrifying roll for satisfying both of the suppression of the peeling of an adhesive layer and the suppression of the film thickness unevenness of an elastic layer.SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus including an image holder, an electrifying device which includes an electrifying roll 121 electrifying the image holder, a latent image forming device which forms a latent image on the surface of the electrified image holder, a developing device which develops the latent image formed on the surface of the image holder with toner, to form a toner image, and a transfer device which transfers the toner image formed on the surface of the image holder to a recording medium, the electrifying roll 121 includes a conductive base material 30, a conductive adhesive layer 33 having a gel fraction of 50% or more on the outer peripheral surface of the base material 30, and a conductive elastic layer 31 on the adhesive layer 33. The friction coefficient of the electrifying roll 121 is 0.2 or more and 0.9 or less. |
