<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection range setting device and method, or the like, capable of setting accurately an inspection range, in the setting of the inspection range when inspecting a printed matter. <P>SOLUTION: This inspection range setting device in the inspecting of the printed matter has a pick-up image acquisition means for acquiring a pick-up image imaged with the printed matter, a display means for extracting end image information indicating at least one or more of ends in the printed matter, from the pick-up image, and for magnifying the end of the printed matter, based on the end image information, to be displayed on a display screen, and an inspection range determining means for determining an inspection range of the printed matter, based on the end image indicating the end of the printed matter displayed therein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
