摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing system contributing to an accurate diagnosis on effects of radiotherapy. SOLUTION: An arithmetic processing unit of this medical image processing system executes the following processing. PET (Positron Emission Tomography) image information and X-ray CT image information before starting the radiotherapy and the PET image information and the X-ray CT image information after finishing the radiotherapy are inputted. Then, respective regions of interest in the respective pieces of image information are converted into three-dimensional image information of the regions of interest. The information of the regions of interest is input from an input device to the arithmetic processing unit. The variations of the weights for every region of interest in each X-ray CT image information before the radiotherapy and after finishing it are calculated. The variations of the weights of the regions of interest among the respective pieces of the X-ray CT image information are found.
