PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a processing load of restoration of contents data when source symbols constituting the contents data are omitted during transmission of the contents data.SOLUTION: A FEC decode-performing determination portion for a reception client, when source symbols are omitted during transmission of a source symbol group generated by dividing contents data, specifies the omitted source symbols. An important symbol determination portion determines importance of each symbol of the source symbol group in restoring the contents data. An additional symbol determination portion specifies source symbols to be transmitted additionally based on the importance of each source symbol. A FEC decode portion, when the omitted source symbols are included in the additionally transmitted source symbols, starts restoration of the contents data after the omitted source symbols are received.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
