PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating device capable of preventing a decrease in an amount of ions due to secular change by simple control and configuration, and to provide electric equipment.SOLUTION: There is provided an ion generating device, comprising: a voltage source; a step-up transformer; a first switching element coupled to a primary winding of the step-up transformer and having a first breakover voltage; a second switching element coupled to the primary winding of the step-up transformer in parallel with the first switching element and having a second voltage higher than the first breakover voltage; a switching circuit which couples any of the first and second switching elements to the voltage source; a high-voltage control circuit; a discharge element; and a control unit which controls the switching circuit so as to switch the switching element coupled to the voltage source from the first switching element to the second switching element when determining that prescribed conditions are satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
