PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for achieving higher speed focus detection by determining the driving direction of a focus lens, even in a Def region where focus detection is impossible.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes luminance information acquisition means for acquiring luminance information from a plurality of images whose defocus amounts are different, evaluation value calculation means for calculating a blur evaluation value indicating the focusing state of the image on the basis of the luminance information, driving information calculation means for calculating lens driving information by using the blur evaluation value, reliability determination means for determining the reliability of the lens driving information, and changing means for changing an image defocus interval according to the reliability.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
