PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission module of high heat dissipation for high speed transmission that can be mounted even in a compact transmission device, and to provide a transmission device.SOLUTION: An optical transmission module includes a first substrate 16 mounting a port 2 for long distance transmission on the surface, a second substrate 17 mounting a port 3 for short distance transmission on the surface, a first LSI 19 mounted on the surface of the first substrate 16 and performing signal processing of an electric signal, a first heat sink 19a for dissipating heat generated from the first LSI 19, a second LSI 20 mounted on the surface of the second substrate 17 and performing signal processing of an electric signal, and a second heat sink 20a for dissipating heat generated from the second LSI 20. Both substrates 16, 17 are arranged in L-shape, in plan view, so that the surface becomes the inside, and connected electrically by means of an electric connector 18. Both heat sinks 19a, 20a are arranged to overlap at least partially in the length direction, perpendicular to the normal direction of both substrates 16, 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
