PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to find a suitable outer panel inversion countermeasure structure for a vehicle opening/closing component using FEM analysis.SOLUTION: With FEM analysis, a panel inversion prediction method for a vehicle opening/closing component predicts a portion where the inversion phenomenon of the outer panel of an actual vehicle opening/closing component occurs by simulating generation of the state of an instant when the vehicle opening/closing component is closed by accelerating an analysis model for the outer panel of the vehicle opening/closing component, and by detecting a portion where an inversion phenomenon in which the curvature direction of the outer panel of the vehicle opening/closing component varies occurs in the state of an instant when the vehicle opening/closing component is closed, which has been simulated to be generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
