<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical power meter sensor head which has high accuracy and permits stable measurement, and to provide an optical attenuator with little aging change of permeability caused by incident light suitable for use of the sensor head. <P>SOLUTION: This is an optical attenuator which makes the incident light emit via attenuation means (11, 12, 13), and as an attenuation means, the attenuator uses a color filter (12) solarized by irradiating it with ultraviolet rays beforehand.
