<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which enables a user to easily obtain information relating to the position or direction of a reception quality. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal holds reception area information indicating the correspondence between the position or direction of receiving radio signals and the error rate of the radio signals, receives the radio signals, decodes the received radio signals, detects a radio signal error rate generated when decoding them, retrieves the position or the direction where the error rate is a threshold or below from the reception area information when the detected error rate exceeds a threshold, and displays a message urging the user of the portable terminal to move using a retrieved result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
