An elevator door driving system is provided to lower the height by installing the drive motor on the vertical plate of the door head and to reduce the vibration of the drive motor by supporting the rotation axis of the drive motor with the vertical plate. An elevator door driving system(100) comprises a door header(130) including a vertical part parallel to an entrance and mounted on the top of a frame, a door rail(132) installed on the vertical part of the door header in the opening/closing direction of the entrance, doors(121,122) which are supported on the door rail and the frame to be movable, a drive motor(140) arranged on the vertical part of the door header above the door rail, a driven pulley(152) installed on the vertical part apart from a driving pulley, and a driving belt(154) which is looped over the driving and driven pulleys and connected with the doors.
