摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium titanate powder that exhibits a large initial charge/discharge capacity and excellent input/output characteristics when used as an electrode material of an electricity storage device or the like, an active material comprising the lithium titanate powder, and an electricity storage device using the active material.SOLUTION: A lithium titanate powder for an electrode of an electricity storage device is provided, which is a lithium titanate powder essentially comprising LiTiOand has such properties that: a specific surface area equivalent diameter Dcalculated from a specific surface area of the powder by the BET method ranges from 0.1 to 0.6 μm; a crystalline diameter Dcalculated from a peak half-width of the (111) plane of LiTiOby the Scherrer equation is larger than 80 nm; and a ratio D/Dof Dto Dis 3 or less. The present invention also provides an active material comprising the above powder, and an electricity storage device using the active material. The titanium lithium powder contains at least one metal element selected from Group 2, Group 12, and Group 13 elements.
