PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: reduction of an influence of paper powder on images is demanded.SOLUTION: There is provided a developing device recovering a developer that is not transferred to a recording material and remains on an image carrier, and comprising a developing part that includes a developer carrier carrying developer, and a storage part that includes an opening at a position corresponding to paper feeding means conveying the recording materials and supplies developer to the developing part, where when the length (Z) in the longitudinal direction of a first area where developer is got carried on the developer carrier is 1; a second area has a length of Z×0.25 from the center of the first area toward both ends; the opening is provided only in the second area, and satisfies the relation expression 0.12<length in longitudinal direction of opening/Z<0.35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
