PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device that prevents a periodical change in inclination angle of flat toner with respect to a thickness direction of a medium during transfer to the medium, compared with a transfer device that reduces a first pressure on a nip part during transfer of an image when a predetermined condition is satisfied to be equal to or less than a second pressure on the nip part during transfer of an image when the condition is not satisfied.SOLUTION: A transfer device comprises: a moving body that moves; a primary transfer part that transfers an image formed with flat toner to the moving body; and a secondary transfer part that forms a nip part with the moving body, transfers the image to a medium conveyed to the nip part from the moving body, and increases a first pressure on the nip part during transfer of an image when a condition is satisfied where the width of the image is larger than a predetermined width or the density of the image is larger than a predetermined density, to be higher than a second pressure on the nip part during transfer of an image when the condition is not satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
