The method involves moving a pipette tip (20) to a sample container. A pipetting piston (22) is moved in a direction opposite to a traveling direction of the pipette tip. Pressure prevailing in the pipette tip is detected such that a pressure measurement value representing the detected pressure is compared with a target measurement value. A determination is made to check whether the detected pressure measurement value is within a tolerance range of the target measurement value with continuous pressure detection during a duration measured from a difference pressure difference time point. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for aspirating liquid from a sample container of a dosage device (2) a control device for actuating a dosing device (3) a dosing device.
