PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for heating a green tire, in which the whole of the green tire, even to the inside thereof, is heated uniformly without damaging the green tire even when the green tire has large thickness.SOLUTION: The method for heating the green tire comprises the steps of: disposing an electrode plate 11, which is connected to one electrode of a high frequency wave generation device 13, at the position parted from the surface of a tread part 21 by a predetermined distance; connecting a steel cord 22c of a beforehand-exposed ply 22 to the other electrode of the high frequency wave generation device 13; and irradiating a rubber compound, which constitutes the tread part 21 existing between the electrode plate 11 and the ply 22, with a high frequency wave to allow the rubber compound to generate heat by itself so that the green tire 20 is heated. |
