PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which enables improvement of a duty ratio, secures a sufficient sustain (lighting) period to achieve good image quality even when the operation frequency of a driving circuit is low.SOLUTION: A display device includes: a first substrate 4001; a second substrate 4009; a first seal material 4011; and a second seal material 4010. The first substrate has a pixel part having transistors 4014, 4022 and light emitting elements. The second substrate is provided so as to face the first substrate. The first seal material is provided on the first substrate so as to enclose the pixel part. The second seal material is provided at the outer side of the first seal material and has an area contacting with a side surface of the first seal material and an area which is sandwiched by opposing surfaces of the first substrate and the second substrate. A side surface of the second substrate has an area contacting with the second seal material and an area which does not contact with the second seal material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
