An air vent comprises a base part 10 having a first wall 16 projecting therefrom and an opening 13 radially inward of the first wall. A vent cover part 20 attaches to the base and has a second wall 24 projecting therefrom. When the base and the vent cover are attached, the vent cover defines an air inlet / outlet 50 about a periphery of the vent cover, a space between the first and second walls, and a baffle to deflect air flowing through the air vent. The first wall is radially inward of the inlet / outlet and radially outward of the second wall. The air vent enables a continuous free flow of air therethrough. A pipe section 12 having a first part 12B defines a third wall projecting from the base defining a baffle to deflect air. The pipe may have a second part 12A extending from the base and may be located in an aperture of building and secured thereto by a flange 14 with holes 18 for receiving screws. The vent cover may be bowl or dome shaped, the base may be annular, and the first and second walls cylindrical and concentric with one another. |
