The present invention relates to a system for providing a completely automated public turing test to tell computers and humans apart (CAPTCHA) and an advertisement using a combination of characters and, more particularly, to a system for providing a CAPTCHA and an advertisement using a combination of characters, the system comprising: a character string collection unit for collecting a character string for generating a CAPTCHA; a character conversion unit for randomly selecting a word from the character string and converting the same; a CAPTCHA output unit for outputting, to a user device, a conversion method and a word before being converted; and a comparison and determination unit for comparing a word input through the user device with the word converted according to the conversion method so as to execute a predetermined command according to whether the two words coincide with each other, wherein, particularly in the case of the Korean alphabet (Hangul), the character conversion unit converts some or all of initial, medial, and final phonemes of the Hangul so as to improve the security of the CAPTCHA, and the CAPTCHA is generated using an advertisement on the Internet and is output together with the advertisement. Therefore, in order to solve a CAPTCHA question, a user must necessarily pass through a procedure for the recognition/read/calculating/write of the advertisement, in which the user reads a character string included in the advertisement, excogitates a CAPTCHA keyword according to the conditions of the CAPTCHA, composes a reply, attends to the advertisement, looks at the advertisement again, and learns the advertisement by head, so that the effectiveness of an Internet advertisement is maximized, which can in turn maximize the participation rate of advertisers and the advertising revenue of a CAPTCHA user. |
