PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS system capable of the smooth refund of returned merchandise.SOLUTION: A POS system comprises a commodity register and a price payment machine 30. The commodity register is operated by a clerk and performs the registration processing of a commodity. The price payment machine 30 is operated by a customer and performs the payment processing of a price on the basis of price data generated by the execution of the registration processing. The price payment machine 30 includes: a scanner 304 at which operation to input merchandise return information on retuned merchandise is performed; and a settlement unit 311 for performing refund processing on the basis of the merchandise return information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
