PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a control error even when a CW light source output is unstable.SOLUTION: The optical transmitter comprises branching means for branching CW light outputted from the CW light source into first and second CW lights, a first voltage applying terminal group to which a voltage for adjusting an operating point and an internal optical phase is applied and a first driving signal terminal group to which a driving signal is input, a first optical modulator for modulating and outputting first CW light, a second voltage applying terminal group for applying a voltage for adjusting an operating point and an internal optical phase, and a second driving signal terminal group for inputting a driving signal, a second optical modulator for modulating and outputting second CW light, differential amplifying means for differentially amplifying and outputting an electric signal indicating the optical power of the optical signal outputted from the first and second optical modulators and canceling the intensity fluctuation superimposed on the CW light, and an adjustment circuit for adjusting the voltage applied to the first and second voltage application terminal groups and the amplitude of the drive signal input to the first and second drive signal terminal groups on the basis of the output from the differential amplifying means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
