PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a masking film for protecting a variety of textured surfaces, providing adjustable and controlled level of adhesion between the masking film and the textured surface to be protected, without using an adhesive coating. SOLUTION: The masking film comprises a first face having a flat surface and free from an adhesive coating, and a second face having an uneven surface. Wherein the first face sticks to the textured surface having a surface roughness more than approx. 150 Ra, in a state to be removable, comprising 30-85 wt.% at least one thermoplastic elastomer having mid-blocks of a saturated rubber selected from the group consisting of styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene, styrene-ethylene/propylene-styrene, styrene-ethylene/propylene and styrene-ethylene/butylene, and approx. 10-60% tackifying resin.
