PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool shelf magazine having a storage capacity larger than that of a publicly known shelf magazine and including a handling device enabling the installation and handling of a rather reinforced tool. SOLUTION: This tool shelf magazine comprises a plurality of compartments 3 and 12 having at least one of shelves 1 and 6 and a plurality of notches 4 and 13 installed in the shelf at specified intervals in the vertical direction, opened on one side, and acting as the storage part of one suspending tool and the handling device 20 vertically and horizontally movable by a motor, positioned adjacent to the shelves 1 or 6, and having at least one gripper 26 for extracting the specified tool from the shelf and feeding the tool to a tool changer.
