PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end-surface exciting laser device which is capable of using lasers properly according to its use. SOLUTION: An LD direct head 8 which makes light emitted from an optical fiber 1 parallel is arranged as a first stage, an LD exciting head 9 which end-surface excites a laser beam emitted from the LD direct head 8 is provided as a second stage, and a wavelength changing head 10 which changes the wavelength of the laser beam emitted from the LD exciting head 9 is arranged as a third stage. The above three unit heads 8, 9, and 10 are joined together in a detachable manner like a rocket, and furthermore an output head 11 which is equipped with an output mirror 30 and outputs exciting laser rays is provided as a fourth stage. Moreover, a piping connector 12 is joined to the LD direct head 8, a piping connector 24 is provided to the wavelength changing head 10, water passages 18, 21, and 23 extending from the end surface of the laser excitation medium 20 to the sides of a laser crystal via the side of the laser excitation medium 20 are provided inside a main body, the piping connectors 12 and 24 are connected, and cooling water is made to pass through the water passages 18, 21, and 23 to dissipate heat released inside.
