<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus capable of appropriately positioning a light source and a light guide member and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus A includes: a light source unit 3; the light guide member 4 shaped extended in a main scanning direction x and emitting light from the light source unit 3 toward a reading object as linear light extended in the main scanning direction x; a plurality of light receiving elements 5 arranged along the main scanning direction x and receiving the light reflected in the reading object; a board 2 mounted with the light receiving elements 5; and a case 1 for accommodating the light source unit 3, the light guide member 4, the light receiving elements 5, and the board 2, and the light source unit 3 is directly fitted to the case 1 by using the board 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
