<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter controller, capable of making a DC component contained in an output current zero, as much as possible, by detecting only the DC components contained in the output current, without receiving the influence of offset generated in a current detector. <P>SOLUTION: This inverter controller includes a DC side current detector 8, a DC component extracting device 9, a comparison operation circuit 5, and an AC side current detector 3. The DC component extracting device 9 is constituted of a synchronous discrimination circuit 91 for synchronizing a DC current detected by the DC current detector 8 with a zero-cross signal, and for discriminating it by each positive and negative half-cycle period; and a differential integration circuit 92 for inputting a positive and negative signal, discriminated by the synchronous discrimination circuit 91, to output the DC components contained in the AC side output current. The comparison operation circuit 5 adds the output of the DC component extracting device 9 to the output of the AC side current detector 3, and compares the added value with a reference signal, to detect the difference.
