<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highlight a part with high brightness and a part with low brightness by means of brightness adjustment and to clearly display a part to be watched in an image. <P>SOLUTION: To raise a brightness level, a minimum brightness level is raised while fixing a maximum brightness level as it is, an adjustment range at a part with high brightness of an input image is made large and an adjustment range at a part with low brightness thereof is made small. In contrast, to reduce the brightness, the maximum brightness level is reduced while fixing the minimum brightness level as it is, and the brightness of the image is highlighted by reducing the adjustment range at the part with high brightness of the image and by enlarging the adjustment range at the part with low brightness thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
